Espacios patrimoniales en la modernidad

Historically, the construction of heritage spaces has obeyed to the
interests that on these have the governing groups and those that
influence in the public power. At the present time, the winning stage of
modernity is represented by Delayed Capitalism, with its speech of the
globalization and its neoliberal model. Consequently, the form in which the
heritage spaces are managed obeys to the logic of this model that
promotes its commodification, privatization and territory loss of those who
own the land. In order to understand this process it turns out necessary to
know in what the speech of the globalization consists, how this one form
belongs to modernity and on what bases are constructed international
treaties related to these spaces. Also, it is approached the subject of the
social production of the space and nature to be able to explain the
construction of the heritage spaces.

Resumo Espanhol:

Históricamente, la construcción de espacios patrimoniales ha obedecido a
los intereses que sobre estos tienen los grupos gobernantes y los que
influyen en el poder público. En la actualidad, la etapa ganadora de la
modernidad está representada por el capitalismo tardío, con su discurso
de la globalización y su modelo neoliberal. En consecuencia, la forma en
que se gestionan los espacios patrimoniales obedece a la lógica de este
modelo que promueve su mercantilización, privatización y pérdida del
arraigo al territorio. Para entender este proceso resulta necesario conocer
en qué consiste el discurso de la globalización, cómo éste forma parte de
la modernidad y sobre qué bases se construyen tratados internacionales
relacionados con estos espacios. Asimismo, se aborda el tema de la
producción social del espacio y la naturaleza para poder explicar la
construcción de los espacios patrimoniales.
