The article is the result of a scientific initiation research that aimed to monitor the spot quality of groundwater in Campus of the Federal University of Santa Maria, RS, through the evaluation of physical and chemical parameters, analyzed in 37 samples collected weekly "mouth of the well" PB 20, one of the 20 wells responsible for supplying the University Campus during the research. Although the results have suffered oscillations, they are within the hydro-sanitary conditions and the limits and standards required for human consumption in accordance with Administrative 518/2005 of the Ministry of Health.
