We studied the external morphological characteristics of a Cannabig sativa L monoecious plant , which were compared to those described by CARAUTA (1) and COSTA & JACCOUD (2) for dioecious plants, concluding that: 1) the monoic plant has an appearance similar to the male leg of the dioecious plant; 2) in the monocoic plant, flowers with 2 and 3 stigmas occur, approximately in the same proportion, while in the dioecious plant 2 stigmas normally occur; 3) in the branches where modified flowers occur, the general appearance of flowers suggests that male flowers originate female flowers.
