Este artigo deseja investigar a presença da família escrava no sul de Minas, no século XIX, no interior de uma organização econômica não vinculada ao mercado internacional. Ela foi uma realidade palpável. À luz de pesquisas e resultados já acumulados alhures, pretende entender o seu significado histórico e social, sem ceder a dicotomias simplificadoras, incapazes de perceber a complexidade da vida
social.
This article intends to investigate the presence of the slaved family in the south of Minas, in the century XIX, in the interior of an economic organization that is not tied with the international market. It was a concrete / palpable reality. Along with researches and accumulated results elsewhere, we plan to understand its historical and social meanings, without yielding to simplified dichotomies / polarizations, incapable of perceiving the complexity of the social life.
