O presente artigo discute a posição do narrador diante da impossibilidade de apreensão total dos objetos do/no mundo. Para refletir sobre a problemática desafiadora que é a posição daquele que narra, buscaremos apoio teórico em Adorno (2013). Por meio desse teórico, nosso objetivo é refletir sobre uma possível experiência do narrar diante da pluralidade que é encoberta pelo (falso) aparente. Para compor o corpus de análise para este trabalho, selecionamos o conto “O espelho”, de Guimarães Rosa, presente no livro “Primeiras Estórias”, publicado em 1962. Trata se de um livro em que o autor mineiro trabalha com pequenas “estórias”, permeadas por diversos tons: jocoso, erudito, lírico, sarcástico, místico e, principalmente, popular.

This article discusses the position of the narrator against the total seizure of the impossibility the objects in the world. To reflect on the challenging problem which is the position of one who narrates, we seek theoretical support in Adorno (2013). By this theory, our objective is to reflect on a possible experience of narrating front the plurality that is covered by the (false) apparent. To compose the corpus of analysis for this study, we selected the short story “O espelho”, of Guimarães Rosa, present in the book “Primeiras estórias”, published in 1962. It is a book in which the author works with short "stories", permeated by various shades: jocular, erudite, lyrical, sarcastic, mystic and especially popular.
