O objetivo da pesquisa consistiu em investigar os fatores determinantes do desempenho econômico-financeiro e de mercado das companhias do setor elétrico listadas na B3 no contexto da pandemia de covid-19. Para tanto, classificou-se o estudo como descritivo, documental e quantitativo. A amostra é composta por 45 empresas do segmento, no período de 2018 a 2022 (225 observações). Os dados foram coletados na base Economatica®, extraídos das DFPs e tratados no software Stata. Logo, após a análise da estatística descritiva e regressão linear múltipla, constatou-se que as variáveis explicativas que influenciam positiva e estatisticamente o desempenho econômico são: investimento em P&D, participação nos NDGC, presença feminina no CA, auditoria Big4 e tamanho. No âmbito financeiro, destaca-se P&D, NDGC e tamanho. Para o mercado, não houve resultados favoráveis e significativos que influenciem as variáveis preditoras estrutura societária e concentração de propriedade.
The aim of the research was to investigate the determining factors of economic-financial and market performance of companies in he electric sector listed on B3 in the context of the covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, the study was classified as descriptive, documentary, and quantitative. The sample consists of 45 companies from the sector, covering the period from 2018 to 2022 (225 observations). The data was collected from the Economatica® database, extracted from the financial statements, and processed using Stata software. After analyzing the descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression, it was found that the explanatory variables that positively and statistically influence economic performance are an investment in R&D, participation in NDGC, female presence on the board of directors, Big Four auditing, and size. In the financial scope, R&D, NDGC, and size stand out. For the market, there were no favorable or significant results influencing the predictor variables of corporate structure and ownership concentration.
