O objeto de análise deste estudo centra-se no filme de ação, drama e ficção “Equilibrium” que estreou nos EUA em 2002, sob a direção de Kurt Wimmer. O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar a subjetividade do filme Equilibrium, na ótica da gestão da informação e do conhecimento, com ênfase nos mecanismos de controle social, tecendo reflexões e realizando um comparativo com aspectos contemporâneos. A pesquisa é caracterizada como observação em análise fílmica. O filme é desenvolvido em um futuro incerto, a raça humana foi quase totalmente devastada. Para salvar o mundo, os governantes decidiram criar uma droga capaz de inibir o sentimento humano, assim, garantindo a paz para sempre. O filme nos faz refletir sobre a importância do conhecimento numa época onde as organizações passaram por profundas mudanças. O filme nos traz o questionamento se realmente vale a pena deixar de sentir tanto o ódio como o amor para ter uma sociedade em estado de paz.

The central point of this study focuses on the action, drama and fiction film "Equilibrium" which debuted in the US in 2002 under the direction of Kurt Wimmer. The present study aims to analyze the subjectivity of the film Equilibrium, in the perspective of information and knowledge management, with emphasis on the mechanisms of social control, weaving reflections and comparing contemporary aspects. The study is characterized as observation research in film analysis. The film is developed in an uncertain future, the human race was almost completely devastated. To save the world, the rulers decided to create a drug capable of inhibiting human feeling, thus ensuring peace forever. The film makes us reflect on the importance of knowledge in an age where organizations have undergone profound changes. The film brings us the question of whether it really pays to stop feeling both hate and love for a society in a state of peace.
