O texto refere-se a um projeto de extensão universitária iniciado no ano de 2001 e desenvolvido por sete instituições de Pelotas/RS. O público alvo, prioritariamente, são os profissionais que atuam em escolas de educação básica da região. Os objetivos são a formação continuada de professores e a democratização da gestão das escolas, contribuindo para a construção de um Projeto Pedagógico de acordo com as necessidades da sua comunidade. O reconhecimento dos saberes docentes, a importância do diálogo e do trabalho coletivo, a ação reflexiva sobre a prática e a democratização da gestão da educação com o envolvimento da comunidade são os pressupostos que o fundamentam. A proposta é aberta e tem sido reconstruída a cada ano de acordo com as avaliações realizadas, provocando o envolvimento de outros atores, entre eles, os estudantes e os pais.
The text refers to anuniversity extension project started in 2001and developed by seven institutions of Pelotas/RS. The target audience is, priority, the professionals that work in basic education schools in the region. The objectives are the continued formation of teachers and the democratization of schools management, contributing to the construction of a Pedagogical Project in accordance to their community needs. The recognition of teacher knowledge, the importance of dialogue and collective work, reflective action on the practice and the democratization of education management with community involvement are the assumptions that underlie it. The proposal is open and has been rebuilt each year according to the performed evaluations , leading to the involvement of other participants , including students and their parents.
