O presente trabalho objetiva apreender as expansões dos cursos de Serviço Social na modalidade de ensino à distância (EaD) e problematizar a participação de tais cursos (EAD) no processo formativo dos assistentes sociais. Utilizar-se-à como fonte bibliográfica a obra de NETTO (1999), assim como as reflexões produzidas por seus interlocutores, a exemplo de IAMAMOTO (2011), LIMA (2007), GUERRA (2010) e SILVA (2016). Nesta direção, buscar-se-á recuperar o debate que considera que o impacto da lógica do capital sobre a educação tem ocorrido de modo agravante no contexto neoliberal. Destarte, o EAD se associa com a dinâmica atual do capital que direciona os mercados para atender seus interesses em seu sistema de expansão e acumulação, visando à massificação da formação. Assim, a formação dos estudantes de serviço social decorrente dessas instituições de ensino é amplamente fragilizada, acrítica e despolitizada e isso implicará sobremaneira tanto no exercício profissional quanto na direção social da profissão.

The present study aims at apprehending the expansion of social service courses in distance learning (EAD) and questioning the participation of such courses (EAD) in the training process of social workers. Will be used as a bibliographical source NETTO (1999), as well as the reflections produced by its interlocutors, such as IAMAMOTO (2011), LIMA (2007), GUERRA (2010) and SILVA (2016). In this direction, we will seek to recover the debate that considers that the impact of the logic of capital on education has occurred in an aggravating way, in the neoliberal context. Thus, EAD is associated with the current dynamics of capital that directs markets to meet their interests in their system of expansion and accumulation, aiming at the massification of training. Thus, the training of social service students resulting from these educational institutions is largely fragile, uncritical and depoliticized, and this will imply a great deal both in the professional practice and in the social direction of the profession.
