Frente ao rápido crescimento do fenômeno turÃstico, é natural que esse segmento torne-se
cada vez mais diversificado, com atividades que acontecem em diferentes espaços fÃsicos,
atingindo, portanto, todo tipo de público, como o Geoturismo, atividade que considera a
geodiversidade como recurso turÃstico. Esse processo de segmentação tem proporcionado
novas oportunidades e por isso, esse trabalho, objetiva discutir e apresentar um estudo de
caso no municÃpio de Apucarana, levantado a partir de uma adaptação teóricometodológica
para o estudo da potencialidade geoturÃstica que enfatiza a descrição geoecológica
da paisagem, assim como seu potencial, aspectos crÃticos e propostas. Esse
segmento encontra-se em ascensão em vários lugares do mundo, na maioria das vezes
associado ao turismo ecológico, rural e cultural e preza pela apreciação turÃstica de
paisagens, levando em conta seu conteúdo geológico, histórico, natural, social e econômico,
tratando essas diferenças como recursos turÃsticos.
Ahead of the fast growth in the tourist phenomenon, it is natural that this segment become
each time more sophisticated, with activities that happen in different physical spaces,
reaching therefore all kind of public, as the Geotourism, activity that considers the geodiversity
as a tourist resource. This segmentation process has proportionate new opportunities and
therefore, this work, aims to discuss and to present one case study in the city of Apucarana,
developed from an theory-methodological adaptation for the study of the geotourist
potentials, critical aspects and proposals. This segment is in ascension in several places of the
world, most of times associated to the ecological, country and cultural tourism and values
the tourist appreciation of landscapes, taking into consideration its geological, historical,
natural, social and economic content, treating these differences as tourist resources.
