Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a importância de se levar em consideração os interesses, os conhecimentos, a cultura e a participação das comunidades locais no processo de elaboração de estratégias de implantação de Áreas de Proteção Ambiental (APA’s). Esta perspectiva possibilita tanto a preservação como a conservação das áreas protegidas apoiada no desenvolvimento econômico, através da criação de fontes alternativas de renda que não representem risco para a fauna e a flora permitindo assim que os programas tenham um olhar mais humanizado e com isso que haja maior possibilidade de se obter resultados sustentáveis.
The objective of this paper is to analyze the importance of taking in consideration the interests, the knowledge, the culture and the participation of the local communities in the process of elaboration of implantation strategies of Protected Areas (PA). This perspective makes possible as much the preservation as the conservation of the protected areas supported in the economic development, through the creation of alternative sources of income that do not represent risk for the plants and for the animals allowing that the programs have a more humanized look so that have greater possibility of getting sustainable results.
