Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar um ambiente funcional de Business Intelligence (BI) e fundamentar os principais conceitos e técnicas relacionadas ao seu funcionamento e suas aplicações, estudando o motivo pelo qual deve ser implementado em um ambiente de negócios, levantando argumentos relativos à ágil tomada de decisões e à organização e gestão de informações através de dados de diversas fontes. O estudo será feito através dos principais conceitos dentro do Business Intelligence, como a fundamentação teórica do funcionamento de um data warehouse, em sua arquitetura e operação, e como funcionam as organizações de dados diversos para uma rápida e fácil apresentação. As técnicas de Business Intelligence analisadas serão sobre como manipular grandes quantidades de informações através de aplicações em técnicas de Online Analytical Processing (OLAP), explicando conceitos de bancos de dados multidimensionais.
This paper aims to present a functional Business Intelligence (BI) environment and to substantiate the main concepts and techniques related to its operation and applications, studying the reason why it should be implemented in a business environment, raising arguments related to agile decision-making and the organization and management of information through data from various sources. The study will be done through the main concepts within Business Intelligence, such as the theoretical basis of the functioning of a data warehouse, in its architecture and operation, and how organizations of various data work for a quick and easy presentation. The Business Intelligence techniques analyzed will be about how to manipulate large amounts of information through applications in Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) techniques, explaining concepts of multidimensional databases.
