Este relato trata de uma análise e contextualização sobre a atuação e importância do Serviço Social na habitação, bem como sua autonomia no processo decisório institucional. A proposta é discutir como se desenvolve a intervenção nos projetos habitacionais, favorecendo a cidadania e os direitos constitucionalmente garantidos. Nesse sentido, será analisada a contribuição do Assistente Social na área da habitação, buscando a ampliação da produção de conhecimentos que, por conseguinte, favoreçam a efetivação e a qualidade dos serviços oferecidos, a fim de atender às reais necessidades da população.
This paper is about aanalisys and contextualization of the Social Service acting and importance in the habitation, as well its autonomy in the institutional decisory process. The purpose is to discuss how the intervention in the habitation projects develops, promoting citizenship and the constitutional rights. In this point, will be analised the contribution of the Social Assistant in the habitation issue, searching for the improvement of the knowledge production, that, for its time, favors the quality of the offered services, in order of attending the real citizens needs.
