Este artigo realiza uma análise documental qualitativa de textos publicados no Facebook e WhatsApp, a fim de evidenciar a heterogeneidade na escrita por meio da apresentação de “erros” ortográficos propositais, indispensáveis à constituição do sentido. Para tanto, o trabalho conta com uma reflexão acerca da linguagem que busca compreender mais as semelhanças do que as diferenças entre oralidade e escrita, suspeitando não somente dessa dicotomia de modalidades, mas também das razões pelas quais essa separação hierárquica permanece, inclusive dentro dos muros da academia.

This article performs a qualitative documentary analysis of texts published in Facebook and WhatsApp, in order to highlight the heterogeneity in writing through the presentation of purposive spelling mistakes that are indispensable to the constitution of meaning. For this, the work has a reflection on the language that seeks to understand the similarities rather than the differences between orality and writing, suspecting not only this dichotomy of modalities but also the reasons why this hierarchical separation remains, even within the walls of Academy.
