Em verso, o presente texto, narra a história do Bando de Teatro Olodum, companhia de presença e discursos negros, residente no Teatro Vila Velha, em Salvador, na Bahia. Através da literatura de cordel, são apresentadas as produções desse grupo azeviche, a sua perspectiva artístico-ideológico e suas contribuições para o teatro negro no Brasil.
In verse, this text tells the history of the Theater Gang Olodum, a company formed by black people and black discourse, resident in the theater Vila Velha in Salvador – Bahia. Frased in the popular ballad form called Cordel, the text presents the theatrical performances of this black group, their artistic and militant perspective and their contributions to black theater in Brazil.
