A História da Infância e da criança como objetos de investigação histórica são temas recentes no âmago da historiografia ocidental e surgem no ensejo das renovações historiográficas que permearam o século XX. No Brasil, o interesse por essa temática é ainda mais recente e, no que diz respeito à História da Infância na Amazônia Colonial, é um percurso de estudos que ainda está sendo trilhado. No presente artigo, apresenta-se um panorama bibliográfico acerca das produções que tratam da História da Infância e da criança, no âmbito da historiografia sobre a região amazônica que aborda o período colonial, bem como buscou-se identificar nessas produções matrizes teóricas e metodológicas usadas pelos autores, comparando-as com inovações temáticas e metodológicas introduzidas pela Nova História Colonial, produzida no Brasil. Para tanto, valeu-se do método quantitativo para o levantamento, do comparativo e de cotejamento para fazer as possíveis comparações.
The History of Childhood and children as objects of historical investigation are recent themes at the heart of Western historiography, emerging in the context of the historiographical renewals that permeated the 20th century. In Brazil, interest in this theme is even more recent, and with regard to the history of childhood in Colonial Amazonia, it is a path of study that is still being explored. This article presents a bibliographic overview of the productions that deal with the History of Childhood and children within the historiography of the Amazon region that addresses the colonial period. It also seeks to identify the theoretical and methodological frameworks used by the authors in these productions, comparing them with thematic and methodological innovations introduced by the New Colonial History produced in Brazil. To this end, the quantitative method was used for data collection, and the comparative and collation methods were employed to make possible comparisons.
