Neste artigo, pretende-se analisar, sob uma perspectiva foucaultiana, a narrativa ficcional Laranja Mecânica (1962), de Anthony Burgess, e sua adaptação cinematográfica, dirigida por Stanley Kubrick em
1971. O objetivo deste trabalho é identificar as aproximações e diferenças entre essas formas de discurso, as quais compartilham uma temática semelhante: os mecanismos de vigilância e punição.
In this article I intend to analyze, under a Foucaultian perspective,the work of fiction A Clockwork Orange (1962) by Anthony Burgess, and its movie adaptation directed by Stanley Kubrick in 1971. The objective of this paper is to identify the similarities and differences between both speech forms, which share a similar theme – the mechanisms of surveillance and punishment.

En la tentativa de reflexionar los problemas existentes en las discusiones de Lenguajes y Historiografia, en este artÃculo se investiga, bajo una lectura foucaultiana desde el libro Vigiar e Punir (1975), la novela Laranja Mecânica (1962), de Anthony Burgess, y su adaptación (1971) para el cinema, hecha por Stanley Kubrick. El intento del trabajo es identificar las aproximaciones y diferencias entre los discursos, que comparten un tema: los mecanismos de vigilancia y punición.
