O artigo analisa a relação entre a História e os movimentos sociais, particularmente do meio rural no sul do Brasil. Aponta as contradições e ambiguidades entre a ciência e o mundo real, além de indicar os problemas e desafios colocados para a educação e a memória pela precariedade da democratização da sociedade brasileira.
The article analyzes the relationship between history and social movements, particularly the rural areas in southern Brazil. Points out the contradictions and ambiguities between science and the real world, in addition to indicating the problems and challenges to education and memory by the precariousness of democratization of Brazilian society.
