Introduction: The period of adolescence is characterized by changes in several dimensions of the subjects and one of the most striking processes of this stage of life is the construction of identity, which consists of the individual's ability to elaborate who he is, who he wants to be and how he should be recognized. . This process is affected by social and historical conditions, so, to understand it, it is necessary to carry out an investigation that includes a socio-historical perspective. Based on this observation, it is essential to understand how the phenomenon of globalization, which has crossed the ways of life of the subjects of contemporary societies, influences the identity construction of adolescents. Objective: To analyze scientific production that considers the impacts of globalization on the construction of adolescents' identity. Material and Methods: This is an integrative literature review carried out by searching for articles in Scielo and Pubmed. The terms used for the search were "Identity", "Globalization" and "Adolescent", combined with the Boolean operator "AND", with the 10-year publication time filter. The research was carried out between the months of September and October of the year 2020. Considering the social nature of the research, we also used basic authors for the proposed theme. Results and discussion: The search performed on PubMed resulted in 461 articles. In Scielo, 246 publications were found. Duplicate articles that were not available in full and / or those that did not consider the social nature of health research were excluded. After a critical reading of the titles and abstracts, 10 articles remained. The works found highlight the fact that adolescence is a social construction that has undergone changes with the advent of globalization. The current scenario of a globalized world and technological revolution has increased the influence exerted by the mass media, especially social networks, enabling them to modulate behaviors, ways of life and ways of subjectivation. Final considerations: Globalization has directly affected the new life arrangements of society, also influencing the experience of adolescence. Starting from the temporospatial affectation caused by globalization, identities are then transformed, since all of them are located within symbolic space and time. This means that the more globalized society becomes, the lower the references of time and space, causing fragmentations in the identities of individuals. Under these new conditions, the contemporary teenager builds not just one, but several identities, causing the formation of different versions of themselves.
