A crise socioambiental tem se intensificado. A EA Crítico-Transformadora emerge como um mecanismo de superação. Porém, uma EA Conservadora corrobora com a manutenção/reprodução desse padrão societário. A formação de educadores traz uma possibilidade concreta para constituir uma EA de tendência histórica. Objetivando refletir sobre essa formação, investigaram-se concepções de Meio Ambiente e EA e práticas educativas de um grupo de mestrandos em Educação. Aplicaram-se questionários no início do processo e realizaram-se entrevistas ao final. Partiu-se de estudo teórico do campo ambiental e das discussões sobre ideologia e consenso. Os educadores demonstraram, hegemonicamente, representações/práticas ideologizadas ao encontro das tendências natural e racional. A parcela que avançou para a tendência histórica compõe-se de mestrandos que, embora não tenham seus estudos focados na temática socioambiental, tem-nos no campo do materialismo histórico-dialético.

The socio-environmental crisis have intensified. The Critical Transformer Environmental Education emerges as a mechanism to overcome this context. However, a Conservative Environmental Education supports the maintenance/reproduction of the current corporate standard. The formation of educators brings a real possibility for the establishment of an Environmental Education historical trend. In order to reflect on the formation, we investigated the conceptions of the Environment and Environmental Education and the educational practices, of one group of masters in Education. Questionnaires were applied early in the process and interviews were conducted at the end. We started of a theoretical study of the environmental field and of the discussions about Ideology and Consensus. The educators have demonstrated, hegemonic, ideological representations/practices to meet natural and rational trends. The portion that advanced to the historical trend is composed of masters who, although they haven't focused their studies on socio-environmental theme, have them in the field of historical and dialectical materialism.
