This paper originates from the expectation of suggesting possible paths for the study of theatre lighting design, considering its recent incursion into the academy, incorporating observations about theoretical notions of the image and projecting possibilities of theoretical research associated with instances of the formation of the artist that works in this area. Such reflections may indicate the approach of the theatre lighting design as unifying aspect of the scene.
