O presente artigo resulta de uma pesquisa de Iniciação Científica, em andamento no NECEL (CEFET Campos), que visa a estudar a presença do rio na poesia brasileira do século XX quer como tema ou paisagem, quer como imagem verbal que desenha as relações culturais do indivíduo com as águas continentais e as diferentes representações do espaço coletivo.
This article is the result of a research which is being carried out at NECEL (CEFET Campos). Its purpose is the study of the presence of rivers in twentieth-century Brazilian poetry not only as theme or landscape, but also as a verbal image that helps define the cultural relations of the individual with continental waters and the different representations of the collective space.
