A IMPORTÂNCIA DA DOAÇÃO DE SANGUE E FORMAÇÃO DE NOVOS DOADORES EM PALMITOS, SC

O município de Palmitos apresenta um número reduzido de doadores de sangue evidenciando a necessidade de captar novos doadores. Com ações de caráter motivador e educacional pretendeu-se formar novos grupos de doadores de sangue no município. Para alcançar este objetivo realizou-se oficinas/palestras buscando desmistificar os mitos e ressaltar a importância da doação de sangue para a população. Ao decorrer desta atividade formou-se grupos de doadores que foram encaminhados ao Hemosc-Chapecó. Paralelamente, houve divulgação através de cartazes e panfletos, anúncios informativos na rádio AM e FM e publicação de textos educativos no jornal local. Realizou-se o exame de pré-teste para doação de sangue e posteriormente, a coleta externa de sangue, ambas no município. Após a formação de grupos e o conseqüente aumento de doadores, atualizou-se o cadastro dos mesmos na Unidade Básica de Saúde do município de Palmitos, que de 120 doadores no ano de 2005, conta hoje com 331 doadores aptos. Os resultados obtidos foram bastante satisfatórios, houve participação crescente dos cidadãos nas ações do projeto e elevado padrão de sangue coletado. Neste ano foram coletadas oitenta e oito bolsas de sangue, 26% a mais que no ano anterior. Desta forma, o projeto contribuiu para a desmistificação da doação de sangue, para o aumento do número de doadores com elevada qualidade do sangue coletado, viabilizou a coleta externa anual no município, ajudou a diminuir as faltas no banco de sangue da região, incentivou o exercício da cidadania e a promoção da saúde dos cidadãos que precisam de transfusão sangüínea.

The city of Palmitos presents a reduced number of givers evidencing the necessity to catch new givers. With motivating actions and educational character it was intended to form new groups of givers of blood in the city. To reach this objective were realized workshops/lectures searching to demystify myths and to stand out the importance of the donation of blood for the population. When elapsing of this activity were formed groups of givers that had been directed to the Hemosc-Chapecó. Parallel, it had informative spreading through posters and pamphlets, announcements in radio AM and FM and publication of educative texts in the local periodical. Later were realized a prior examination for blood donation and, later, the external collection of blood, both in the city. After the formation of groups and the consequent increase of givers, were modernized register in cadastre of the same ones in the Basic Unit of Health of the city of Palmitos, that of 120 givers in the year of 2005, counts today on 331 apt givers. The gotten results had been sufficiently satisfactory, had participation increasing of the citizens in the actions of the project and raised collected standard of blood. In this year eighty and eight stock markets of blood had been collected, 26% more than in the previous year. In such a way, the project contributed for the demystification of the blood donation, for the increase of the number of givers with raised quality of the collected blood, made possible the annual external collection in the city, helped to diminish the lacks in the bank of blood of the region, stimulated the exercise of the citizenship and the promotion of the health of the citizens who need sanguine transfusion.
