O presente artigo é dedicado à análise crítica do livro de literatura infantil: Contos Indígenas Brasileiros, do escritor indígena Daniel Munduruku. A literatura infantil e juvenil apresentada neste trabalho é uma área do conhecimento interdisciplinar que dialoga com as artes visuais devido ao processo de interação com as imagens ilustradas e com as narrativas da oralidade africana, afro-brasileira e indígena. No contexto do ensino da arte, da história e da cultura escolar, houve um aumento significativo depublicações de livros com a temática afro-brasileira, africana e indígena a partir da promulgação da lei 10.639/03 e da lei 11.645/08 as quais tornaram os conteúdos supracitados obrigatórios em todos os níveis de ensino. Esta pesquisa buscou compreender de que modo as narrativas de oito etnias apresentadas no livro falam a respeito de como mitos, os anciãos, os costumes e as crenças contribuem para criação de imagens afirmativas de valores identitários das comunidades indígenas brasileiras. Constatamos queas narrativas analisadas estão permeadas por valores que promovem a alteridade, pois levam a uma reflexão ao tempo anterior a cultura modernista. Além disso, trazem a preservação das histórias ancestrais como fio condutor do processo de construção identitária dessas comunidades.

This article is dedicated to the critical analysis of the children ́s and youth literature book: Contos Indígenas Brasileiros,by Indigenouswriter Daniel Munduruku. Children's and youth literature presented in this work is an area of interdisciplinary knowledge that dialogues with the visual arts due to the process of interaction with illustrated images and African, Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous oral narratives. In the context of teaching Art, History and School Culture, there was a significant increase in book publications with Afro-Brazilian, African and indigenous themes following the promulgation of law 10.639/03 and law 11.645/08, whichbecame the aforementioned contents are mandatory at all levels of education. This research sought to understand how the narratives of eight ethnicities presented in the book talk about myths, elders, customs and beliefs contribute to the creation of affirmative images of their identity values REVISTA EM FAVOR DE IGUALDADE RACIAL, Rio Branco –Acre, v.7, n.1, p. 38-50, jan-abr. 2024.39of Brazilian Indigenous communities. We found that the narratives analyzed are permeated by values that promote otherness, as they lead to a reflection on the time before modernist culture. Furthermore, they bring the preservation of ancestral histories as a guiding thread in the identity construction process of these communities.
