O presente artigo teve como objetivo analisar a Gestão de Segurança e Saúde do Trabalho em uma indústria química, sobre tudo nos últimos seis anos, 149 trabalhadores morreram em acidentes de trabalho no Amazonas. Somente em 2017 foram registrados 16 óbitos de pessoas em postos de trabalho no estado. Mais de 31 mil comunicações de acidentes de trabalho foram registradas em Manaus entre 2012 e 2017. Sendo assim, o momento oportuno mostrar as vantagens da implementação do sistema e apresentar os requisitos para empresa aplicar e investir em segurança, através do suporte teórico, seus requisitos e exemplos de gráficos e tabelas, identificará os principais motivos que devem ser considerados pelas organizações, bem como apresentar algumas boas práticas relacionadas a este tema que justifiquem investimentos e treinamento nesta área. O tema foi desenvolvido a partir de uma revisão bibliográfica a respeito do assunto, passando por uma abordagem sobre todo o sistema de gestão da segurança na empresa onde foi feito o estudo, mostrando as ferramentas e os meios de controle adotados por esse sistema. Como conclusão, buscou-se mostrar que o trabalho, para ser realizado de forma segura, depende acima de tudo do compromisso do trabalhador, que aliado à política da organização, é o responsável direto por se atingir bons níveis de segurança no trabalho.
The present article aimed to analyze Occupational Safety and Health Management in a chemical industry, especially in the last six years, 149 workers died in work accidents in the Amazon. Only in 2017 were 16 deaths of people in jobs in the state. More than 31 thousand reports of occupational accidents were registered in Manaus between 2012 and 2017. Therefore, the opportune moment shows the advantages of the system implementation and present the requirements for the company to apply and invest in safety, through theoretical support, its requirements and examples of graphs and tables, will identify the main reasons that should be considered by the organizations, as well as to present some good practices related to this subject that justify investments and training in this area. The topic was developed based on a bibliographical review on the subject, going through an approach about the entire security management system in the company where the study was done, showing the tools and means of control adopted by this system. As a conclusion, we sought to show that work, to be carried out safely, depends above all on the worker's commitment, which, together with the organization's policy, is directly responsible for achieving good levels of job security.
