Resumo Português:

O objetivo deste artigo é analisar e interpretar as principais
questões relacionadas à educação que se encontram no discurso veiculado
pela imprensa de Uberabinha, MG (atual Uberlândia), no período da Primeira
República. E como resultado parcial dessa investigação, observou-se que a
imprensa apresenta um potencial de análise das relações sociais, de suas
representações.

Resumo Inglês:

The objective of this article is to analyze and to interpret the main
questions related to the education that was find in the speech propagated for
the press of Uberabinha, MG (current Uberlândia), in the period of the First
Republic. As Partial resulted of this inquiry, it was observed that the press
presents a potential of analysis of the social relations, of its representations.
