This article is the result of a reflection developed during the postdoctoral research held in 2015 at the University of Évora, Portugal. This is an important discussion within the field of cultural heritage of industrial nature. Oral history was the methodology used to conduct the research. The study refers to the industrial heritage and aims to dialogue with scholars from different universities from Brazil and Portugal.
