INSERÇÃO DOS ALUNOS DE CIÊNCIAS CONTÁBEIS NA PESQUISA CIENTÍFICA: UMA ANÁLISE NAS UNIVERSIDADES FEDERAIS DO SUL DO BRASIL

A presente pesquisa tem por objetivo analisar a inserção dos graduandos em Ciências Contábeis das universidades federais da região sul do Brasil na prática da pesquisa científica no que diz respeito à leitura, elaboração e publicação de artigos científicos. Em relação à natureza, este estudo é descritivo e possui abordagem qualitativa. Para alcançar o objetivo, foi elaborado um questionário com 16 questões e enviado aos alunos que cursam Ciências Contábeis nas seis universidades federais do sul do Brasil que oferecem esse curso. Ao todo, 262 alunos responderam o questionário. Verificou-se, com base nas respostas, que a maioria (225 alunos) já realizou a leitura de pelo menos um artigo científico e que a motivação para essa leitura se deu pela necessidade de elaborar trabalhos e pela exigência de alguma disciplina. Referente à elaboração de artigo, 120 alunos afirmaram já ter escrito pelo menos um artigo científico, sendo que a maioria desses textos foi elaborada por exigência de alguma disciplina. Ainda referente à elaboração, os alunos apontam como dificuldade na realização a falta de tempo e a dificuldade na coleta de dados. Por fim, quanto à publicação, verificou-se que, dos 120 alunos que elaboraram artigos, apenas 50 submeteram para algum evento e/ou periódico. Desses alunos, 40 alunos publicaram pelo menos um dos artigos elaborados. Conclui-se, portanto, que, apesar de os alunos lerem artigos científicos, devem ser mais incentivados a redigi-los e publicá-los. Assim, além de proporcionar benefícios aos alunos, contribui também para a sociedade, através da disseminação de novos conhecimentos adquiridos com a pesquisa.

This research aims to analyze the inclusion of undergraduates in Accounting from the Federal Universities of southern region of Brazil in the practice of scientific research with regard to reading, preparation and publication of scientific articles. In relation to nature, it is descriptive and has a qualitative approach. To achieve the goal we designed a questionnaire with 16 questions, sent to students who are studying Accountancy in six federal universities in southern Brazil that offer this course. Altogether 262 students answered the questionnaires. Based on the responses, the majority (225 students) has performed a reading of at least one scientific article and the biggest reason for this reading was the elaboration of an academic work and demand for some discipline. Regarding the preparation of articles, 120 students said they had written at least one scientific article, and most of these articles were drawn up by the requirement of some discipline. Still regarding the preparation, students have pointed out difficulties in performing the lack of time and difficulty in data collection. Finally, regarding the publication, it was found that, of the 120 students who drew up articles, only 50 submitted for any event and / or journal. And of these, 40 students have published at least one of the articles written. We conclude therefore that although the students read scientific papers, it should be more encouraged to composing them and publish them. Thus, besides bringing benefits to students, it also contributes to society through the dissemination of new knowledge through research.
