Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar a inserção das tecnologias da informação e comunicação como ferramenta facilitadora do processo de ensino e aprendizagem da língua inglesa. A metodologia utilizada para atingir este objetivo foi a pesquisa qualitativa com abordagem bibliográfica. Partindo da premissa de que se os alunos são usuários das tecnologias móveis e das mídias sociais, entende-se que eles estão utilizando a língua inglesa, uma vez que comumente podemos observar palavras, expressões, textos deste idioma tanto nos aparelhos quanto nos aplicativos. Neste sentido, o uso das TICs faz a ponte, entre o inglês dos currículos escolares e a vida do aluno, pois a partir do momento que o aluno consegue entender o inglês existente em seu cotidiano ele conseguirá associá-lo ao inglês aplicado na sala de aula e em sua vida. Neste sentido, podemos inferir que a língua inglesa poderá contribuir para um melhoramento na qualidade de tradução, escrita e fala deste idioma que é parte destas tecnologias da informação e comunicação da sociedade digital do século XXI.
This article aims to analyze the insertion of information and communication technologies as a facilitator of the process of teaching and learning English. The methodology used to achieve this objective was the qualitative research with bibliographical approach. Based on the premise that if students are users of mobile technologies and social media, it is understood that they are using the English language, since we can commonly observe words, expressions, texts of this language in both handsets and applications. In this sense, the use of ICTs bridges the gap between the English of school curricula and the life of the student, since once the student is able to understand the English in his daily life he will be able to associate it with the English applied in the classroom and in your life. In this sense, we can infer that the English language can contribute to an improvement in the quality of translation, writing and speaking of thislanguage that is part of these technologies of information and communication of the 21st century digital society.
