Esse ensaio tem como objetivo demarcar alguns aspectos que as análises não têm enfatizado suficientemente ao abordar a questão da interdisciplinaridade. Trata-se de apreender a interdisciplinaridade como uma necessidade e como problema. A questão da interdisciplinaridade, ao contrário do que se tem enfatizado, especialmente no campo educacional, não é, sobretudo, uma questão de método de investigação e nem de técnica didática, ainda que se manifeste enfaticamente neste plano. A questão da interdisciplinaridade se impõe como necessidade e como problema fundamentalmente no plano material histórico-cultural e no plano epistemológico.
The objective of the present essay is to indicate some aspects that the analyses concerning interdisciplinarity have not emphasized properly when approaching such issue. It aims to understand interdisciplinarity as a need and a problem. The question of interdisciplinarity, on the opposite of what has been emphasized, especially within the educational field, is not, notably, either a question of research method or didactic technique, although it is highly emphasized in this field. The question of interdisciplinarity should be considered as a necessity and a problem fundamentally in both the historic-cultural material and the epistemological plan.
