O nosso escopo neste trabalho é debater alguns pontos de conexão na complexa relação entre
produção artÃstica e contexto politico, como dentre outros a ingerência da politica na constituição
de estratégias direcionadas para a construção, o apagamento e a desconstrução de memórias
imagéticas. Neste sentido, delineamos o itinerário de análise através de quadros que têm como
personagem principal Napoleão Bonaparte, elaborados durante a primeira metade do século XIX,
e que enfocam o perÃodo em que o corso esteve à frente do governo da França pós-revolucionária.
To discuss some points of connection in the complex relationship between artistic and political
context, among others as the interference of politics in the establishment of strategies aimed at
the construction, deconstruction and the erasure of memory imagery, is our scope in this paper.
In this sense, the analysis itinerary was defined through of pictures that have the main character
Napoleon Bonaparte, established during the first half of the nineteenth century, focusing on the
period in which the Corsica’s man was the head of the government of post-revolutionary France.
