Nos últimos sessenta anos, em alguns paÃses, a contagem média de espermatozóides caiu pela metade, enquanto
que aumentou muito a incidência de câncer e de malformações no sistema reprodutivo masculino. Suspeita-se que
tais efeitos podem estar relacionados à contaminação ambiental. Este estudo apresenta dados quanto aos efeitos
causados por produtos industriais de amplo emprego com atividades hormonais, sobre a saúde de animais de
laboratório, animais selvagens, e seres humanos.
In the last sixty years, in some countries, the mean sperm count has decreased by half, while the incidence of
cancer and of malformations in the male reproductive system have increased greatly. It is suspected that such
effects may be related to environmental contamination. This study presents data on the effects caused by widely
used industrial products with hormone-like activities, on the health of test animals, wild animals and humans.
