Entre o grupo indígena Paresi-Haliti, o termo iyamaka se refere ao conjunto de flautas secretas associadas a poderosos espíritos, para os quais são dedicados oferendas e rituais. Partindo de uma investigação das condições que possibilitam a presença-viva destes artefatos e dos saberes e técnicas implicados na sua condição sonora, busca-se, sobretudo demonstrar como a fabricação material e a produção musical constituem tecnologias rituais relevantes naquele contexto etnográfico, capazes de garantir relações harmônicas entre os haliti e outras entidades não-humanas concebidas em sua cosmologia.

Within the Paresi-Haliti indigenous group, the term iyamaka refers to the set of secret flutes associated with powerful spirits, for which offerings and rituals are dedicated. Starting from an investigation of the conditions that allow the living presence of these artifacts and the specialized knowledge and techniques involved in their sonorous condition, it is mainly sought to demonstrate how material manufacture and musical production are relevant ritual technologies in that ethnographic context, capable of guaranteeing harmonic relations between the haliti and other nonhuman entities conceived in their cosmology.
