Este trabalho pretende discutir a respeito da modernidade literária de Murilo Rubião, sob o enfoque da ironia, expressão da cisão entre o “eu” e o mundo inserida na modernidade desde os românticos. A partir da leitura do conto “O Exmágico da Taberna Minhota”, verificaremos que a literatura muriliana, muita vez, se nos apresenta o sentimento de ruptura do sujeito moderno, ciente de sua inadequação ao mundo com o qual não consegue mais dialogar. O instrumento da ironia, nesse sentido, torna-se a arma de resistência contra o mundo e os valores sociais estabelecidos.
Resumo Inglês:
This paper will discuss about the modern literature of Murilo Rubião, from the standpoint of irony, expression of the severance between the self and the world filled in the modernity since the romantics. From reading the short story “O Ex-mágico da Taberna Minhota", we find that the muriliana literature, often, it gives us the sense of rupture of the modern subject, aware of its inadequacy to the world with which he can no longer correspond. The instrument of irony in this sense becomes the weapon of resistance against the world and established social values.
