Neste artigo, são abordadas algumas considerações acerca do conceito de língua,
cultura e identidade na visão de autores como Stuart Hall (2006), Homi Bhabha (2007),
Rajagopalan (1998), Signorini (1998) e Luís Paulo da Moita Lopes (1998), objetivando
entender a importância do trabalho com narrativas orais na construção de identidades em sala
de aula, além de analisar, através da visão de Bakhtin (1981), Walter Benjamim (1994) e Paul
Zumthor (1993), a relação entre narrador e ouvinte, corpo e voz para o desenvolvimento da
performance nessas narrativas. Na sequência, são apresentadas algumas observações colhidas
durante os trabalhos em sala de aula acerca das narrativas cantadas com os alunos do 1º e 3º
ano do Colégio Estadual Duque de Caxias.

In this article we discussed some considerations about the concept of language,
culture and identity in view of authors such as Stuart Hall (2006), Homi Bhabha (2007),
Rajagopalan (1998), Signorini (1998) and Luis Paulo da Moita Lopes (1998 ), aiming to
understand the importance of working with oral narratives in the construction of identities in
the classroom, and analyze, through the vision of Bakhtin (1981), Walter Benjamin (1994)
and Paul Zumthor (1993), the relationship between narrator and listener , body and voice for
the development of performance in these narratives. Following are presented some
observations made during the work in the classroom about the narratives sung with students
from 1st and 3rd year of the State College Duque de Caxias.
