LÍNGUA E NORMA VERSUS VARIAÇÃO E DIVERSIDADE LINGUÍSTICA: UMA BREVE DISCUSSÃO LINGUÍSTICO-EDUCACIONAL

Resumo Português:

O artigo apresenta alguns aspectos relativos à noção de língua e norma em
contraponto às noções de variação e diversidade linguística. Na introdução, expõe parte do
que os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais/Ensino Médio/Linguagens, Códigos e suas
Tecnologias citam como uma nova postura em relação à abordagem da língua nas escolas;
desenvolve-se discutindo acerca de variedades da língua e sua relação com o ensino de língua
materna, além de questões sobre diversidade linguística e postura dos PCN‘s relativa ao
ensino de língua materna; conclui que cabe à escola desmistificar a equivocada ideia de
unidade e reconhecer a imensa diversidade linguística do português no Brasil.

Resumo Inglês:

The article presents some aspects related to the notion of language and standard in
counterpoint to variation and linguistic diversity notion. The introduction exposes part of
what the Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais/Ensino Médio/Linguagens, Códigos e suas
Tecnologias mention as a new posture relating the approach of the language at schools; it
develops discussing about the variety of the language and its relation with the native
language, furthermore questions about linguistic diversity and PCN‘s posture related to the
teaching of the native language; it concludes that is up to the school to demystify the wrong
idea of unity and to acknowledge the immense linguistic diversity of portuguese in Brazil.
