Este artigo analisa a legislação instituÃda pelo
Estado brasileiro nas primeiras décadas do século XX, que
visava regulamentar as relações de trabalho infanto-juvenis.
Essa regulamentação foi operacionalizada pelas autoridades
judiciárias e contribuiu para a introdução de uma noção de
infância pautada nas representações sociais de masculino e
feminino, presentes na norma familiar burguesa, para as
famÃlias pobres urbanas do Brasil durante o governo de
Vargas.
This article analyzes the regulation of the infantoyouthful
relations of work through the legislation instituted
by Brazilian State in the first decades of 20th century. This
regulation was implemented by the judiciary authorities and
contributed for the introduction of a notion of childhood
based on the social representations of feminine and
masculine, presents in the bourgeois norms, for Brazil’s
urban poor families during the government Vargas.
