O presente texto é resultado parcial de uma pesquisa realizada
durante os anos de 2015 e 2016, cadastrada na PRP-UEG, que contou
com o auxílio de duas alunas bolsistas pelo programa PIBIC/UEG. O
objeto da investigação foram os estigmas, ou seja, a contaminação
simbólica1 da lepra abordados nas produções literárias de ficção da
Idade Média, séculos XIX e XX, considerando os aspectos históricos,
políticos, sociais e culturais que integram o contexto no qual foram
produzidas. O estudo é de natureza qualitativa, conforme a
concepção de Minayo (2012), e se fundamenta teoricamente nas obras
de S. Sontag (2002; 2007), Goffman (1988) e Williams (1979).
This text is a partial result of a research conducted in the years 2015 and
2016, registered in the PRP- UEG, which had the help of two scholarship
students at PIBIC / UEG program. The object of the investigation were the
stigmata, or the symbolic contamination addressed leprosy in literary fiction
productions, from the Middle Ages to the present, considering the historical,
political , social and cultural aspects that are part of the context in which
they were produced. The study is qualitative, as the design of Minayo
(2012), and theoretically based on the works of S. Sontag (2002; 2007);
Goffman (1988) and Williams (1979).
