Este artigo busca fazer uma reflexão sobre a importância da relação da Lexicografia com a Dialetologia na utilização de dicionários escolares. Os instrumentos utilizados para as análises foram os dados do Projeto Atlas Linguístico do Brasil no intuito de verificar se os dicionários escolares investigados apresentavam as lexias que se apresentavam enraizadas em diferentes áreas e vivas no vocabulário ativo de seus falantes. Com base na observação de dicionários escolares, chegou-se à conclusão de que nem sempre essas obras completam, com informações dialetais, as lacunas deixadas pelos verbetes no que se refere à inclusão de dados da língua oral, sobretudo os coletados em pesquisas geolinguísticas.
Inthis paper, we aim to discuss the relation between Lexicography and Dialectology in the use of school dictionaries for Brazilian Portuguese language learners. We analyze linguistic data collected from both the Brazilian Linguistic Atlas Project (ALiB) and school dictionary entries so as to verify whether the gathered data in ALIB Project were considered in those lexicographic works.Based on the observation of these dictionaries, we deduce that the analyzed ones do not include enough dialectal information and they miss oral language data, which reveals that there is a lack of integration with data collected in geolinguistic surveys.
