Esse artigo se constitui numa refl exão em resposta à interpelação do Sínodo da Família convocado pelo Papa Francisco e aberto em outubro de 2014. Apoiada em metodologia bibliográfica exploratória, propõe, num primeiro momento, um olhar para a família de Nazaré, ressaltando elementos que fazem da Sagrada Família uma inspiração para encontrar as respostas para os desafi os que a família tem enfrentado no mundo contemporâneo. Num segundo momento, apresenta um comentário sobre a Exortação Apostólica Pós-sinodal Amoris Laetitia, documento promulgado em março de 2016 e que representa um novo olhar da Igreja sobre a realidade das famílias e do matrimônio, olhar marcado pela alegria e pelo espírito de misericórdia que tem sido a tônica do pontificado de Francisco.
This article is constituted by a refl ection over the interpellation of the Synod of the Family summoned by Pope Francis and opened in October 2014. Based on an exploratory bibliographic method, it proposes, at first, an overlook at the Nazareth family, highlighting the elements that make the Sacred Family an inspiration to fi nd answers for the challenges of the families in the contemporary world. Secondly, we present a commentary on the Postsynodal Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia, promulgated in March 2016, which represents a new perspective of the church over the reality of families and marriage. This new perspective is distinctive by its joy and the spirit of mercy that has permeated Francisco’s pontificate.
