Este artigo é parte integrante da pesquisa de doutorado cujo objetivo foi analisar as relações entre as contribuições da Formação Cultural (Biulding à Formação Acadêmica no âmbito do Curso de Pedagogia da Universidade Federal Fluminense – UFF, à luz da Teoria Crítica da Sociedade, com ênfase no Componente Curricular de Atividades Culturais. São apresentados elementos referentes às perspectivas da Universidade contemporânea, sobretudo devido à defesa da ação e do pensamento autônomos do indivíduo e pela influência da Indústria Cultural sobre a formação. Para isso, adotamos como procedimentos metodológicos e instrumentos de coleta de dados tanto a documentação referente ao Projeto Pedagógico de Curso (PPC- FEUFF), quanto a identificação das concepções e percepções dos estudantes que experienciam a proposta acadêmica por meio da análise de dados coletados por um questionário. Os resultados expressam o potencial cultural da Universidade no enfrentamento da racionalidade instrumental, que tem como projeto a formação aligeirada, reducionista e fragmentada na frágil tentativa de atender às demandas do mundo do trabalho. Por fim, identificamos as possibilidades da formação à vida e à experiência humana.

This article is an integral part of the doctoral research whose objective was to analyze the relations between the contributions of the Cultural Formation (Biulding) to the Academic Formation in the scope of the Pedagogy Course of the Federal Fluminense University – UFF, in the light of the Critical Theory of the Society, with emphasis in the Cultural Activities Curricular Component. Elements related to the perspectives of contemporary University are presented, due to the defense of autonomous action and thinking of the individual and by the influence of the Cultural Industry on training. For this, we adopted as methodological procedures and instruments of data collection both the documentary part, which includes the Pedagogical Project of Course (PPC-FEUFF), as well as the identification of the conceptions and perceptions of the students who experience the academic proposal, through the analysis of data collected by a questionnaire. The results express the cultural potential of the University in the confrontation of instrumental rationality, whose project is the lightening, reductionist and fragmented formation in the pseudo attempt to meet the demands of the world of work. Finally, we identify the possibilities of formation to life and human experience.
