Este trabalho visualiza a música como fator determinante e determinado pela cultura na qual ela é elaborada e, nessa perspectiva, possui como objetivo principal relatar a experiência ocorrida em uma turma do 9º ano do ensino fundamental. Para trabalhar a temática urbanização com enfoque nos problemas socioambientais, foi desenvolvida uma metodologia que utilizou a música para compreender o mundo-vivido dos educandos, posto que a valorização da realidade permite investigar de que forma eles percebem e concebem o fazer geográfico. Trabalhou-se a música “Firme e forte” do grupo de pagode baiano Psirico, por ela representar, segundo os educandos, os problemas sociais explícitos em sua localidade, o município de Feira de Santana-BA. Portanto, esse relato de experiência está fundamentado em uma proposta que prioriza a narrativa (auto)biográfica que permite ao autor rememorar a sua experiência profissional. Com base nas discussões apresentadas, conclui-se que a produção musical tem a capacidade de influenciar e agregar sentimento de pertencimento a determinadas condições socioespaciais. Palavras-chave
Music can be a determiner of culture or it can determine by the culture in which it is created. Based on this statement, the main goal of this paper is to describe an experience carried out in a 9th grade class. To discuss urbanization issues with focus on socioenvironmental problems, a method that used music to better understand the students’ world was developed. By valuing their reality, it can be investigated how they perceive and conceive geographical roles. We asked the students to bring to the classroom songs that encompassed the socio-spatial problems of where they lived (Feira de Santana, state of Bahia, Brazil). According to them, the song “Firme e forme”, by Psirico, a group of pagode, typical from the region they lived, represented the explicit social problems in their region. Therefore, this experience report is based on a proposal that prioritized the (auto)biographical narrative. Based on the discussions presented in this report, we concluded that the songs influence and add a sense of belonging to certain socio-spatial conditions.
