Literatura e História são formas escritas de preservação e reavaliação do
passado de um povo. Ler a História sob a ótica do narrador literário representa uma
nova possibilidade de compreensão dos fenômenos históricos. A violência, a violação
dos direitos humanos foram uma prática no Brasil ditatorial e, em O que é isso,
companheiro?, a narrativa memorialista, testemunhal permite ao leitor encontrar
novamente aquela realidade que, no romance, se faz ficcional.

Resumo Inglês:

Literature and History are written forms of preservation and reevaluation
of the people’s past. To read a History under the optics of the literary narrator represents
a new possibility of understanding of the historical experience. A violence, a breaking
of the human rights had been one practical in Brazil’s dictatorship and, O que é isso,
companheiro? is a testimonial narrative allows the reader to find that reality, in the
novel, was fiction.
