Low back pain is a common complain among middleaged and older populations, and benign or malignant etiologies should be investigated to get a better management. 1-4 Primary intraspinal tumors have the annual incidence of 1.5 per 100,000 people, and schwannomas are among the most common with the incidence of 0.3–0.4 per 100,000.3 These tumors are benign, slow-growing and encapsulated, with origin in Schwann cells, intra- or extradural sited, often causing pain, radiculopathy and neurological deficits.3
