O artigo apresenta parte dos resultados obtidos no acompanhamento da
cobertura eleitoral do jornal O Estado do Paraná (OEP) sobre as eleições de
2010 para governador do estado do Paraná. Partimos do pressuposto de que a
informação produzida pelo jornal impresso, juntamente com a televisão e
com o rádio, “constrói” a realidade polÃtica durante um processo eleitoral
(McCombs; Shaw, 1972 Lima, 1994). Por intermédio do acompanhamento
junto à cobertura do jornal quantificamos e comparamos as matérias
publicadas pelo jornal OEP para verificar como o jornal procurou informar o
seu leitor sobre as eleições.
The paper presents results of the monitoring of election coverage in the
newspaper O Estado do Paraná (EPO) on the 2010 elections for governor of
Parana State. We assume that the information produced by the newspaper,along with television and radio, "build" the political reality during an electoral
process (McCombs, Shaw, 1972 Lima, 1994). Through the monitoring by the
newspaper coverage quantify and compare the material published by the
newspaper to see how the EPO newspaper sought to inform your reader about
the elections.
