O presente artigo busca analisar a Teoria do Reconhecimento de Axel Honnete, a partir desse ponto de vista, pretende-se compreender os movimentos sociais ocorridos no Brasil, no ano de 2013. As manifestações expressaram a indignação da população frente ao governo atual, em busca de melhores condições de vida, tais como: a garantia plena pelo cidadão ao acesso à saúde e educação de qualidades, melhoria da segurança pública, dentre outros. Além disso, buscaram os manifestantes uma reforma polÃtica, uma vez que há grande insatisfação com o trabalho desempenhado pelo Executivo, bem como com a inércia do Poder Legislativo. Percebendo-se, portanto, que as manifestações sociais fazem parte da história da humanidade e que a melhoria de vida só é alcançada através das lutas sociais.

This paper analyzes the theory of Recognition by Axel Honnet, and, from this point of view, we intend to understand the social movements occurredin Brazil, in 2013. The demonstrations expressed the indignation of the population against the current government, in seeking better living conditions, such as access to quality health and education, as well as claiming the improvement of public safety. Moreover, the protesters sought political reform, since they are dissatisfied with the work performed by the government, just as are annoyed by the inertia of the Legislature. In conclusion, we realize that social events are part of human history and life improvement is achieved only through social struggles.
