Este texto propõe uma reflexão sobre a
constituição dos meios de comunicação
da cultura escrita na cidade do Rio de
Janeiro, em meados do século XIX, tendo
por referência central a figura de José de
Alencar e suas experiências como leitor
e escritor.
The paper aims at reflecting about the
constitution of the means of the written
culture communication in the city of Rio
de Janeiro in the middle of the 19th
century, having as central reference the
figure of José de Alencar and his
experiences as reader and writer.
