O artigo analisa a escrita memorialística de Maria Esolina Pinheiro, uma das pioneiras do Serviço Social na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. O objetivo é problematizar a construção da memória da assistência e do Serviço Social articulada à memória e à escrita de si. O artigo também explora os diferentes gêneros narrativos produzidos pela escrita de Pinheiro, como a memória histórica, a autobiografia e a narrativa literária.
The article analyzes the memorial writing of Maria Esolina Pinheiro, one of the pioneers of Social Service in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The objective is to problematize the construction of the memory of assistance and Social Service linked to memory and self-writing. The article also explores the different narrative genres produced by Pinheiro’s writing, such as historical memory, autobiography and literary narrative.
