A Internet já tem uma longa história. Apesar de parecer algo ainda muito recente, a rede mundial de computadores nasce nos dias da Guerra Fria e se desenvolve em meio a diversas intrigas e contribuições. Intelectuais, militares e “nerds” ofereceram, em medidas diferentes, contribuições para a interconexão mundial de computadores. Este artigo apresenta de modo sumário alguns dos momentos centrais para o surgimento e expansão da Internet.

This article is on the Internet’s history. It's a sort of introduction in Portuguese to important moments in this theme. Working like a big web between computers, The Internet has an essential relationship with The Cold War days. Their own development is fundamentally a product of military plans, academic researches and a huge contribution by nerds – young boys with high skills in software, computers and a lot of ideas to spread information around the computer world.
