Este ensaio tem por objetivo levantar problemas relativos à memória e ao patrimônio no
mundo digital mais do que responder às incertezas que o tema apresenta. Utilizando o
pensamento de Paul Ricoeur sobre a memória individual em Santo Agostinho - ou a tradição
do olhar interior, e a memória coletiva em Maurice Halbwachs - ou o olhar exterior, podemos
indagar: o que é a memória da humanidade? Como ela se organiza entre o individual e o
coletivo? De que modo a memória se constitui e se apresenta em patrimônio nas redes
digitais?

This essay aims to raise questions relating to memory and heritage in the digital world rather
than answer to the uncertainties presented by this subject. Using Paul Ricoeur's thinking on
individual memory in St. Augustine - or the tradition of looking through yourself, and the
collective memory in Maurice Halbwachs - or the external (social) look, we can ask: what is
the memory of mankind? How it is organized between the individual and the collective? How
memory is constituted and presented as cultural heritage in the digital networks?
